2007 HORNED FROG CLASSIC

The 28th Annual Horned Frog Classic Golf Tournament presented by Greenwood Office Outfitters was played on a beautiful Fort Worth Monday afternoon at Colonial Country Club and saw the team of Don Lanza, George Wood, Connor Flahive and Joe Billingsly capture this year's crown. More than $200,000 was raised for the TCU Frog Club's "Scholarships for Champions" to support the men's and women's golf programs.

TCU Athletes Give Back

LPGA professional and former TCU golfer Angela Stanford and current TCU men's golfers were on hand at selected holes at the Classic to add their special touch to the event.

Angela talks with some participants before she takes courtesy drive for them and for each group at the 16th hole (par 3).

TOURNAMENT HISTORY

The Horned Frog Classic teed off for the first time November 5, 1979. Touring pros Charles Coody and Don Massengale joined former TCU golf coach Fred Warren in welcoming the first Classic participants to an event now in its third decade. The Classic has a proud tradition and purpose in helping to underwrite several scholarships for the TCU Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams. Over the years, both programs have produced nationally-ranked teams and players thanks to the scholarship support Horned Frog Classic participants have given. Colonial Country Club, one of the finest stops on the PGA Tour, will once again host the annual Classic.
Your contribution to TCU Men’s and Women’s Golf will allow you to play the fairways and greens that golf greats of many generations have walked.
